Various light shows and water shows are enriching people’s vacation across China during the four-day May Day holiday which started on Wednesday.
On Tuesday night, a light show illuminated the night sky along the Wuhan section of the Yangtze River and its major tributary Hanjiang River in central China’s Hubei Province.
The light show introduced the history of Wuhan City, with a special part featuring the images of model workers at the site.
Landmarks and buildings along the 25-kilometer river banks and in Wuhan’s tourist spots were lit up during the whole light show. The event runs until Saturday.
A series of light shows highlighting mountain scenery is also ongoing every night in Wenzhou City, east China’s Zhejiang Province to attract more tourists.
The shows, which will be held every night until Saturday, cover over 9,500,000 square meters of the mountains along the Oujiang River. On the north bank of the river, a light show themed on the development of Wenzhou City is the highlight the whole event, attracting many citizens and tourists.
In Qingdao City of east China’s Shandong Province, a water show supported with the holographic laser projection technology debuted on Monday night, giving audience a feast of eyes with gorgeous stage scenes and performances.
Based on a traditional Chinese mythology about a conflict between eight immortals and a dragon king, the Qing Show presented vivid ocean scenes featuring a large water curtain and fountains with the help of a wave-making system.
Over 60 performers danced as if soaring in the clouds on wires, while flying props such as turtles and jellyfish passed overhead, bringing a strong visual impact.
